Roma
Roma Project Overview
The Roma Project encompasses ~18,300 hectares of the northern High Lake Belt, covering several high grade gold and critical mineral showings.
Blue Star’s inaugural critical minerals exploration program resulted in the discovery of Ataani
- VMS target located 12 km northwest of MMG’s High Lake VMS Deposit
- The initial 2024 drill hole intercepted 17.1 meters of massive sulphide (0.973% copper equivalent), including 2 meters of 10.951% zinc and 3.5 meters of 1.459% copper
- All five holes completed in 2024 intersected mineralization, testing ~300 meters of strike length
- Mineralization remains open along strike, with additional geophysical anomalies remaining untested
The Roma MEA concession was expanded in 2024 to cover the Stu and Cairo targets
- Within the High Lake VMS stratigraphy
- The presence of dalmatianite, sodium depletion and high grade copper values in grab samples (up to 9.99% copper from Cairo, up to 5.17% from Stu) make these both promising VMS targets
- Less than 3 km from MMG’s West Zone deposit
The Avialliq Claim hosts the MOV Vein, Silver Bullet & Black Ice targets
- Grab samples up to 186.1 g/t gold with visible gold; historical drill intercept of 13.4 g/t gold over 1 meter at Silver Bullet
- Channel samples up to 11.4 g/t gold at Black Ice
- MOV Vein is 2 meters wide and traceable for 100 meters, returned up to 20 g/t Au
- 2 km from proposed Grays Bay Road
The Roma Main target is a drill ready gold showing which is a high priority for further exploration
- Consists of a 0.75 to 2 meter wide arsenopyrite-bearing quartz vein traceable for 2.1 km
- Historical surface sample grades of up to 125.6 g/t gold were subject to limited historic drilling which intercepted 12.38 g/t gold over 1.31 meters with visible gold
- Blue Star has extended the mineralized trend by 300 meters, returning up to 40.9 g/t gold
- 2 km east of the proposed Grays Bay Road
The Auma target is a drill ready gold target
- Limited historic drilling (totaling <350 meters) intercepted 2.6 meters of 15.3 g/t gold from quartz veining in mafic metavolcanic rocks
- Historical bonanza grade 100+ g/t gold grab samples fall along a 400+ meter long trend
- Blue Star surface sampling confirmed historical grades with prospecting returning up to 47.6 g/t gold with visible gold
- Several geophysical targets on the claim remain to be investigated
